Approximates the scattered power contained in an edge: χₑ×(|𝛂1|² + |𝛂2|²). (that is, in an aperture that contains a single edge. Scattered power of multi-edge aperture is not linear, due to interference.) Ignores the (2 Re 𝛂1×𝛂2) cross-term term, which is negligible (~1e-8 relative error). (does not include the 0-th order lobe)
